When I was in Spain I was quite surprised, when I first had proper conversations with people,because they would be talking to me, and then they would suddenly say eeeeeeeeh,and I would think what was that?That's quite loud.

So we tend to hum with our mouths closed.

So, try practicing at home , if you see any interviews of British celebrities and personalitiess,check too see what sort of noises they make, when they are thinking about how to respond to auestion.

The next tip is be aware of interjections.

Now what are interjections?

Well ,they are short little expressions, that express how you are feeling.

So if I say something like oh, it means i'm interested,maybe I'm a bit surprised. Oh.

And if I say something like hmm,it could mean I don't quite belive you.

So people from the UK of less inclined to tell you exactly what they think, and more inclined to tell you through interjections and body language.

Tip number four is learn to use question tags properly.

Now what are question tags ? They are short little questions, that go at the end of sentences.

Think like ,you're not married,are you?
就像，你没结婚吗，是吗？
Or ,he didn't go ,did he?
或者，他没有去，是吗？
Or ,you like tea ,don't you?
或者，你喜欢茶，不是吗？
Now they have...they can mean two different things.

They can be a genuine question, or they can be almost a request for confirmation of something , that the speaker already knew.

You are very tanned , you've been on holiday ,haven't you?

I know that they've been on holiday .

Now question tags are very simple to form and use.
问题标签的形式和使用都很简单。
If you have a positive statement:you are coming.
如果有个肯定的语句：你来了。
Then you'd add a nagative question tag on the end :aren't you?
那么你会添加一个否定的问题标签在最后：是吗?
You are coming ,aren't you?
你来了，不是吗？
And if you have a negetive sentence:she didn't say that.
如果你有一个否定句：她没那么说。
Then you add a positive question tag at the end:did she？
然后你再添加一个肯定的问题标签在最后：是吗？
She didn't say that , did she?
她没那么说，是吗？
